We are pleased to announce that Samira Mahamadou has been awarded a $2000 scholarship from the United Neighborhood Houses Viacom Scholarship Program. The United Neighborhood Houses Viacom College Scholarship Program seeks to promote tolerance and positive community change by supporting the growth of future leaders through higher education. The Scholarship Committee was especially impressed by Samira’s successes both inside and out of the classroom and the scholarship award serves as recognition of her leadership qualities and demonstrated commitment to positive social change. Samira is currently a high school senior at Claremont International High School (one of our partner schools) and she will be attending Bronx Community College in the fall.
