In 2019 we expanded our school-based work and the Youth Leaders program. We are in our second year hosting a service member at PS 42 – and our service member returned for her second year, too. We participated in the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) for the first time, which meant we could extend our programing to four days over the summer. 2019 was also a year for working collectively with allies, from putting on the Youth Food Justice Summit to advocating for policy changes with the Food-Ed Coalition.
