Participants and staff from multiple New Settlement programs will join together with community members and march through the streets of our Mount Eden Neighborhood raising awareness about the importance of consent, and declaring the right of all people to safety. The march will step off from the corner of Mt. Eden and the Grand Concourse and wind through nearby streets, ending at New Settlement Community Center, where an event from 5-6:30pm includes tabling, resources, performances and guest speakers. Participating organizations (thus far) include: BronxCare Health System’s Department of Pediatrics, Fountain House Bronx, Safe Horizon Bronx Family Court, NYC Commissions on Human Rights, New Settlement After School Programs: Mount Eden Children’s Academy, Bronx Helpers, Creative Leaders After-School Program, Multicultural After-School Program, and the Program for Girls & Young Women.
