Since the market season ended in November, several of our staff have made impressive accomplishments. We celebrate them and wish them continued success!
- Maria (Youth Leader) was accepted to The School of the New York Times Summer Academy, where she will be developing her writing skills through projects about the United Nations, sustainability, and tech innovation. We know she has much to offer the world of media, where young women of color are grossly underrepresented. Click here to pitch in towards costs of the program, so that Maria can take advantage of this amazing opportunity!
- Unique (Lead Educator) was offered a job as a SNAP-ed Nutrition Educator with Cornell Cooperative Extension in Western New York. We are happy to have been a stepping stone in her career journey.
- After much planning, Ciena (Farm Stand Manager) and her husband and children have completed their move to sunny Florida. Ciena is excited to live in a new place and try out the local foods in a warmer climate! We will miss her when the 2018 season starts, and will be hiring a new Farm Stand Manager in the coming months (stay tuned for details).
- Abby (Youth Leader) is currently in her last year of high school, and has already been accepted to four universities. We are excited to find out where she chooses to go!
