TRIP to Google for Wonder Girls Event

The New Settlement Apartments Girls’ Program has been invited to attend a special event featuring photographer Paola Gianturco and her extraordinary book Wonder Girls: Changing the World! Google is hosting the event at their NY headquarters, located at 111 8th Ave, New York, NY 10011. Wonder Girls features 15 groups of girls who are tackling challenges in 13 countries in the Americas, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Oceania. Paola Gianturco and her 11-year-old granddaughter co-author interviewed and photographed 102 girls, each of whom tells her own story in her own words. It should be an inspiring evening, and our group will have the opportunity to meet Paola at the end of the event. This trip will replace Project V.I.P.’s usual class on Wednesday – there will be no VIP class that day.
