Samuel grew up in Ghana and immigrated to the Bronx with his parents and three siblings when he was in the 9th grade. He was referred to the College Access Center by a friend. As a participant, he was able to learn how the college/university system works in the United States. He received assistance with the college application process and SAT prep. As a result of his hard work, Samuel was accepted to and attended  the State University of New York at Oneonta, where he graduated with High SUNY Chancellor Honors in May of 2016.

After graduating, Samuel worked as a researcher and campaign field organizer for the Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee. After the campaign, he was accepted into a leadership rotational program at Lenovo in Raleigh NC, where he is currently working as a Technical Consultant for the Lenovo Data Center Group. Samuel hopes to work in a worldwide capacity with a technology company that helps entrepreneurs and industries solve societal issues. He would also like to fund innovative social enterprises and grassroots developmental projects.
