Darrlyn Moorer was admitted to St. Lawrence University through the Higher Education Opportunity Program. On campus, she was an event chair of the Black Student Union, secretary and performer of Dance Ensemble, student tutor of WORD Studio, and advocator against sexual violence. Darrlyn also studied abroad in Australia and New Zealand. She was also a student mentor of the Gender and Sexuality Studies Department.
After graduating from St. Lawrence, Darrlyn interned at FosterClub INC, TitleVest Agency, Department of Homeless Services, The Children’s Aid Society, Samaritan Daytop Village-Bridge Haven Transitional Residence, and New Alternatives for Children. She is currently a social worker at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital.
