“Aside from God and my family, I owe my success to the College Access Center. They guided and connected me to the right people and those people in turn helped me to be who I am today.”

Born and raised in Ghana, Philip migrated to the United States in 2010. He attended DeWitt Clinton in the Bronx and heard about the College Access Center through a family friend. Phillip attended Sage College of Albany and majored in Law and Society. During his  undergraduate years, Phillip worked at a small school and also had the opportunity to intern for the New York State Assembly.

Upon graduating, Phillip was a legislative aide for State Assemblyman Pichardo. He also worked as a researcher for the Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee. Phillip currently works as Legislative Director for the New York State Assembly. He is also enrolled in SUNY Albany, currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Public Administration with a concentration in Policy Analysis at the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy. Phillip hopes to become a policy analyst and a cyber security lawyer in the future.
