June 19th, also known as Juneteenth, Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, Liberation Day, and Emancipation Day is the day of the enslaved people in the United States heard of their emancipation. We are happy to announce that Juneteenth is officially a national holiday. Come celebrate Juneteenth with us on Saturday, June 19th. This free event will be located at the New Settlement Community Center playground 1501 Jerome Avenue Bronx NY (off the corner of 172nd street and Jerome Avenue).
