New Settlement stands with community members in the Bronx to break systemic barriers, advance racial justice, promote civic leadership and strengthen neighborhoods. We believe in an equitable society where everyone has access to quality housing, healthcare and education, as well as the power to use their voice to address systemic issues and create further change.
Since its inception, New Settlement has been a responsive partner, bringing hope and livelihood to the area by connecting residents with one another and building a sense of community. Over the years we have evolved into a multi-generational, forward-looking organization that supports all members of the community by providing programs in education, college access, youth development, arts, workforce development, wellness and more.
For more than 30 years, our success in neighborhood revitalization and community building has been achieved through close collaboration with community members, educational institutions, housing and community development organizations, businesses, and youth development and social service agencies in the Mount Eden neighborhood and Bronx-wide.
