Program for Girls & Young Women presents: IDENTITY, a youth showcase

On Saturday, January 25th, 2020 the Program for Girls & Young Women at New Settlement presents IDENTITY, a showcase of awesome talent featuring our Next Level Dancers, Silence Out Loud poets and media-makers, and Project V.I.P. play builders. While the performance does touch on mature themes connected to growing up femme/female in 2020, it should be family friendly, and all are welcome to attend. Please come prepared to be supportive to all the performers, and please make sure that young children are supervised. Invitation cards or print outs will be used as tickets – there is no cost for attending, though donations are always welcome and raffle tickets will be for sale to help support the program.

If you do not have access to an invitation card and cannot print one, please RSVP to Joy Leonard at 718-716-8000 x119 before 12pm on Friday January 24th, to be added to the guest list. Entry to the school building building is restricted to guests with invitations (1 invitation per group is fine) or on the list, as per school safety regulations.

The performance will be held in the auditorium of the New Settlement Community Campus, located at 1501 Jerome Avenue, Bronx NY 10452. Entrance to the school is located on on Goble. Doors open at 5:30 and the performance will start promptly at 6pm. The show will run approximately two hours.

Want to bring a group of young people? We’d love to have you! Just RSVP as early as possible to Joy.
