Silence Out Loud is back and better than ever!

We are super excited to be bringing back Silence Out Loud, our poetry and spoken work workshop with fierce (and funny) slam poet Roya Marsh at the helm. And for the second time, the workshop will be offered in partnership with En Foco, Inc. – a non-profit that supports contemporary photographers of African, Asian, Latino, Native American and Pacific Islander heritage, with a special love for those from the Boogie Down! This fall Roya will be joined by photographer/filmmaker Estefania Chavez, and workshop participants will engage with words and images both, developing their own unique voice and vision.

The workshops will meet every Thursday from 6-7:30pm in our basement program space at 1525 Townsend Avenue, beginning November 14th and running through January 23rd. There will be a performance/presentation of work for the public, along with some of our other performing arts programs, in late January. Download the flier here.
