From July to November 2017, Community Food Action operated a youth-run farm stand selling fresh, naturally-grown local produce every Wednesday. The 170 Farm Stand will be back for its second season in July 2018!

Our Youth Leaders are high school students who complete a series of workshops on healthy food issues including food justice, food sovereignty, and the benefits of local food

During each farm stand day, our Farmers Markets for Kids team conducted cooking & nutrition workshops for kids ages 3-11 and their guardians, who then received Health Bucks coupons to use to buy produce at the farm stand
One participant is interested in becoming a chef when he grows up, so Chef Irbania invited him to help out with preparation of the food. His friends cheered him on!
