Billy Filmore

Billy Filmore is a Bronx native and a proud graduate of the University of Bridgeport, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Service with a minor in Criminal Justice. Throughout his college years, Billy immersed himself in campus life, serving as a Resident Assistant and Peer Educator/Facilitator for over three years. His dedication to mentorship and community engagement led him to become a Peer Mentor and earn certifications in Youth Mental Health First Aid and QPR Gatekeeping Training.
With a passion for empowering youth and making a positive impact on his community, Billy is committed to passing on knowledge and guidance to the next generation. He embodies his motto by saying, “I am my brother’s keeper, what I know I must pass on to the next generation.”
Outside of his professional pursuits, Billy hosts the “Corner Store Talk Podcast.” He finds joy in traveling and exploring new places, enriching his understanding of the world and connecting with people from all walks of life.
