Melinton Badillo

Melinton Badillo Jr. MSW, MA, performs as the Senior Program Director for CLASP Middle School program and AIM High School program. Melinton invokes creating leaders in both CLASP and AIM program through not just developing the students but also developing the direct line staff. In addition, Melinton also manages approximately $1.3 million in funding from the Department of Youth and Community Development and 21st Century contracts. Melinton has been involved as both a participant and employee with youth development programs for over 20 years. He continued to move up the youth development ladder by having positions such as youth counselor, head instructor, assistant director, program director to most recently Senior Director. Melinton has developed a high passion for working with underprivileged and underserved youth in trying to create leaders and critical thinkers. He continues to build positive relationships that assist and support his vision for youth. Melinton, being born in Brooklyn, NY and lived there his entire life allows him to influence others from experience. He graduated from University at Albany with a Bachelors in Sociology, and a Masters in Latinos Studies & Social Welfare. Lastly, Melinton is proud and loving family man with a wife and 3 young children who he looks to be a role model to everyday. He also loves to DJ, play softball, and video games.
