We had an wonderful time on Friday, November 17th, 2017, connecting individual donors with young artists who have participated (many for multiple years) in our spring break arts intensive, In My Words. So many of the wonderful individuals who donate funds or purchase wish-list items to support the project have never been able to attend the one-night-only performances in the Bronx. This event allowed the artists and donors to meet and mingle, sharing stories and laughter. It was such a hit, there will have to be a 2018 repeat “performance,” hopefully with even more of our local friends able to attend! Renee and Meaghan closed the evening with a hilarious and dramatic performance of “Wake Up, Vienna” from their musical collaboration, Cheating on New York.
