In keeping with February\u2019s focus on love and also Black History Month, our workshop theme is \u201cLove Thyself!\u201d and will explore self-love, community love, and love that grows our power. The workshop will include<strong> poetry, spoken word, collaborative film-making<\/strong>, a <strong>Calligraphy and Sumi-E<\/strong> workshop at the Japan Society, and <strong>hands-on STE(A)M projects<\/strong>*. Participants are encouraged to enroll all four days as the poetry and film development process will be cumulative \u2013 but some exceptions may be made. The workshop will culminate with an intimate performance of poetry and screening of short films from 4-5pm on Friday, February 21st in our program space, located at\u00a0<strong>1525 Townsend Avenue<\/strong> between 172nd Street and Mt. Eden Avenue, near the 4 and D trains and the Bx 1, 2 and 11 buses.\u00a0 Lunch will be provided daily.
