We're excited to share highlights of New Settlement's impact in our 2021-22 Annual Report. Learn about our programs breaking systemic barriers, advancing racial justice, promoting civic leadership, and strengthening neighborhoods. See how we maneuvered post-pandemic while supporting Bronx residents, and read stories from program participants.

Annually, New York State Association for College Admission Counseling (NYSACAC) members meet legislators in Albany to advocate for student aid, counseling resources, and legislation that boosts college access statewide.


Eight New Settlement Youth Leaders/High School seniors attended last month, along with College Advisors Christi Ferrer, Cynthia Sanchez, and Giancarlo De La Rosa. 

The NYC Accelerated Workforce Recovery Hub program aims to establish an effective and sustainable model for preparing unemployed and underemployed New Yorkers for in-demand jobs and higher education. 


The initiative is headed by LaGuardia Community College (LAGCC) and Hostos Community College (HCC), with the support of the New York Community Trust, and is in partnership with New Settlement. 

The P.S. 294/311 After-school is offering a 12-week FEAST (Food, Education, Access, Support, Together) with Wellness in the Schools, where participants will have weekly cooking and nutrition lessons within a social/ emotional empowerment structure.


One goal of the program is to identify parents who would wish to become FEAST instructors so that the program could continue as a parent-led system.
